Location Photography

Shot on assignment for AIR &SPACE Smithsonian Magazine.This strange aircraft called the Ornithoper was built by students to test if the bird like motion of the flapping wings will actually make it fly. Shot on location at the University of Toronto School of aerospace technologies. The technique of painting with multiple bursts of strobelight with the shutter open recorded the motion of the flapping wings.
